Well, guess the monetization isn’t gonna start as soon as I hoped. My Subscribestar got approved and it’s up but I’m not ready to take on subscribers. I don’t feel like it’s airtight yet. It’s possible that monetization isn’t going to happen until next month, but I’m gradually learning something new every few days about the logistics. Still trying to work some stuff out. I’m a little hell-bent on making sure my Anaether audience and my actual clients/irl social network don’t get cross-contaminated. And also both sets of people not finding out who I am/my alias. I’m sure I’m not the first one to be doing this, but I don’t know anyone who’s great at this. I’ll make it work though, I’m fairly determined.

I’ve pretty much finished up on my other irl obligations for now. I could have started drawing stuff for The Anaether again tonight but switching tasks is exhausting so I took a little break by doing nothing instead. I was excited about creating “exclusive” content this soon but I guess we might have to wait on that a bit to make sure I do everything right. Well, it won’t really be exclusive content. Just early access.

I’m happy that Twitter has been such a supportive community. For months I was wondering “where are all the LGBTQ-philes? Is my stuff really that weird? Does it really not have a place anywhere?” I mean, I already knew that it was just a matter of finding my audience, I just didn’t realize I could find them this fast. I thought I’d have to be going at this for 5 years before I started picking up any real traction.

Anyway, I have some illustration projects for The Anaether that I’m totally stoked to work on. Thanks for keeping up with my content.
